dress refashion

I bought this lovely dress at the local thrift shop and thought I could do a quick upcycle or refashion. (Which is my latest love in the sewing world!)

I can't decide if it will be the "Easter" dress to wear to church. My mom always bought me an Easter dress every year growing up and I loved it... but I really want to do a little matchy match with my daughter so we will see. I love this dress, I couldn't quite get the image where you can see it's super "flow-iness" and I love that it has pockets! Thank you to a nice old lady that thrift-ed this dress.

Below is a snippet for the little girl Easter dress that I am getting ready to work on...  I really want to incorporate a little cross too, I really want her to understand the true meaning behind Easter, about Jesus, not just the bunnies and Easter eggs. :)  More on that later...
